Bye bye Blackbird

 Hello everyone.

I'm Foot Piano.

Ibaraki city had cloudy weather today.

The number of rainy days is increasing, and I feel that the rainy season is approaching.

Today I will talk about my practice of playing the piano.

I am practicing Jazz piano.

The song is Bye bye Blackbird from Miles Davis' album, with Red Garland playing the piano.

I am practicing the score for that song.

Red Garland is famous for playing his block chords.

Since it is a method of spreading your hands and hitting the keyboard repeatedly, extra force will be applied and the sound will become dirty.

But Red Garland's performance is very elegant.

I would be very happy if I could make a sound that is as close to Red Garland as possible.

Also, I was surprised that Red Garland played the eighth note phrase with a rhythm closer to quadruple rather than triplet. You can understand it by slowing down the song and listening to it.

I am practicing this song for the summer piano recital.

茨木市は今日は曇ったお天気でした．

雨の日が多くなってきて，梅雨の時期が近づいていることを感じます．

今日は僕がピアノを練習していることについてお話します．

僕はJazzピアノを練習しています．

曲は，マイルス・デイビスのアルバムに収録されているバイバイブラックバードで，レッド・ガーランドがピアノを弾いています．

僕はその曲の楽譜を練習しています．

レッド・ガーランドはブロック・コードという奏法をすることで有名です．

手を広げて鍵盤を連打する方法なので，余計な力が入って音が汚くなってしまいます．

でもレッド・ガーランドの演奏はとても優雅です．

少しでもレッド・ガーランドに近い音を出せるととても嬉しいです．

また，僕が驚いたのは，レッド・ガーランドが8分音符のフレーズを3連というより4連に近いリズムで演奏していることです．曲のスピードを落として聴くとそれがよく分かります．

夏のピアノの発表会に向けて，この曲を練習しています．
